      CHARACTERISTICS OF RADON MINERAL WATER “KHMILNYK” SANATORIUM

      The main value of the “Khmilnyk” sanatorium is its own squads of targeted radon water, which in its unique chemical composition is radon-carbon hydrocarbonate-sodium-magnesium-calcium weak mineralization.

      The absolute safety of the application of our radon waters is proved by experimental and clinical studies conducted by the Ukrainian Scientific and Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation and Resort.

      Regular control of radiological, chemical, sanitary-bacteriological and other parameters of radon squads “Khmilnyk” is carried out by Khmilnytsky hydrogeological regime-exploitation and district sanitary-epidemiological stations.

      Mineral radon waters are divided into:

      • very low-radon (5-20 nCi/L)
      • low-radon (20-40 nCi/L)
      • medium-radon (40-200 nCi/L)
      • high-radon (200 nCi/L)

      The «Khmilnyk» sanatorium is the only resort institution in the city of Khmilnik, in the wells of which there is a weak and average concentration of radon. Consequently, the health resort doctors have in their arsenal a wide range of prescriptions of radon procedures depending on the needs of the patient.
