TRADE UNION SANATORIUM “KHMILNYK” – MORE THAN 60 YEARS OF IMPECCABLE REPUTATION
Khmilnyk is one of the most famous balneological resorts in Ukraine and Europe. It is located in the south-west of Vinnytsia region, 67 km from Vinnytsia. The town of Khmilnyk is located in a bowl-shaped hollow on a small island formed by two branches of the Southern Bug. The climate is moderately warm, mild, without sharp temperature fluctuations, and in terms of sanitary and hygienic standards, it corresponds to the so-called “comfort zone”.

The main therapeutic factor of the resort is mineral radon water, which is unique in its hydrogeological origin and ionic composition and has no analogues among the known mineral springs. The second most important healing factor of Khmilnyk is the peat mud of the local Viytivetsky deposit. Modern Khmilnyk is not only a precious radon resource, but also a life-giving oasis of clean air (according to the State Statistics Committee, Khmilnyk is among the top 5 most environmentally friendly cities in Ukraine).
The pearl of the resort is the Khmilnyk trade union sanatorium, whose elegant buildings are conveniently located outside the city, in a primeval forest filled with the aroma of leaves and pine needles. The sanatorium can accommodate 700 people for treatment and recreation at the same time.
In addition to the traditional musculoskeletal and neurological treatments, Khmilnyk also has a successful track record of providing rehabilitation programmes for patients with cerebrovascular disease, diabetes mellitus and after an acute myocardial infarction.
